Christmas specials for 2017

During the christmas holidays I watched a series of films related to seasonal vibes.

Now let's put it all out.

The Night Before (2015)

The Night Before (2015) is a real christmas treat. It's got all the fun seasonal vibes mixed with adultery jokes. References to all american christmas stuff makes it more enjoyable. Not that I'm an expert about american culture. But the references to Die Hard (1988) and other christmas films makes this an amazing experience because I love christmas films.

Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Seth Rogen and Anthony Mackie is an amazing combination for the film.

A personal favourite christmas film.

Overall - 4/5

Bad Santa (2003)

An extreme end to christmas comedy genre. It's soo vulgar it makes you puke. It's soo dark and makes you laugh to things you never wants to laugh but you'll still laugh anyway.

It's innovative cinematic style that embeds Tarantino, Ritchie and many darkly comic film makers makes this a unique gem of a film.

Characters are amazing. Style and film making is exceptional. Still it's a cinematic experience. And a fresh one at that.

Overall - 3.5/5

Bad santa 2 (2016)

Bad santa 2 tries to bring back the old experience of the outstanding predecessor but falls short.

Not bad.

But the innovativeness and the dark humour was a bit bland.

Still when you love the character there is always something to it.

Overall - 3/5

Krampus (2016)

This is a reminder of the B movie horror genre from the 80's and the 90's. Why you love them is they remind you of your child hood. They contain puppets and stop motion for monsters and which makes the film more realistic than CGI.

And Krampus (2016) have made there monsters with the less CGI reminding you of the old christmas and halloween films like Gremlins (1984).

The story, plot, jump scares and the structure overall personally is awesome for me due to it's reminder of the old traditional monster flicks.

Overall - 3.5/5

Tim Burton's The nightmare before christmas (1993)

Now the "Tim Burton's" is a very significant word in the title because it reflects on the style and substance of his film making but actually most of the work was done by the Director Henry Sellick.

This is based on the characters of Tim whom I personally love because when you watch a film it reminds you of a different and a unique world of Tim Burton and his world is relaxing and captivating.

Likewise this is the same. Though the credits are different the film is amazingly structured and we get the seasonal vibes.

Beautifully structured cinematic universe within the world of Jack Skellington and his crew and also the interconnectivity with other seasons and earth makes this a beautiful film.

Overall - 3.5/5

Rudolph : The red nosed reindeer (1964)

This is a traditional film for christmas based on the christmas fantasy of Rudolph which was expanded into many characters.

A personal favourite. It's a very good kids film for christmas reminding of the christmas and the seasonal vibes.

Overall - 3/5
