17 Again (2009)

A feel good movie.Watchable.

Overall - 3/5

Spirited away (2001)

A feast of imagination.Stunning visuals.Amazing story line.A pure work of art.

Overall - 4/5

Singing in the Rain (1952)

Pure entertainment from early classic musicals.Never felt the time moving.

Overall - 3.5/5

Battle Los Angeles (2011)

Not bad for a Science Fiction movie. A combination of "Black Hawk Down" and "Independence day". But sometimes its to noisy and way to shaky camera work.

Overall - 3/5

Jerry Maguire (1996)

Witty, funny and creative. A story about true happiness and freedom. A beautiful love story. A stylishly done sports movie. Tom Cruise is doing his best in this.

Overall - 3.5/5

12 Angry men (1957)

Purely dramatic and an instant classic from the times of the vintage arts were created. A reminder of Hitchcock's "Rope" but brings something more artistic and moral than the latter.Amazing piece of work and classic that will live forever.

Overall - 4/5

Green Lantern (2011)

It's better than expected. Nicely executed by the director Martin Campbell. Movie brings out the usual perfection of the director but lacks a good script.Ryan Reynolds is funny and witty.A stunning ensemble of cast and overall a good movie.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2011)

This is a fine movie if it would have not being a too "emotional drag" like it was being. but any way a nice story about a child finding recovery from his fathers death occurred in 9/11 terrorist bombing. An average movie.

Overall - 3/5

Salmon Fishing in the yemen(2012)

A different thematically executed love story. A movie about friendship, love and happiness. This brings out a grand scale film making. But lacks execution.Anyway a movie with a different experience.

Mr. Popper's Penguines (2011)

Without Jim Carrey this movie is not watchable. Anyway a feel good family movie with less laughs and unrealistic animal conditions.

Cabin in the woods (2012)

This film is a horror movie that is poking fun at horror movies and movies in general. So if you're looking for a film that you can cradle a scared lady-friend to, this is not the one.

But the characters are so much more than clichés- in the movie they actually are noticing how they are falling/being cast into these roles and being less and less human, less and less themselves. That in itself has me tipping my hat to the writers. Joss Whedon you clever beast!

As to it not being pure horror- that's the point of the movie. I was enjoying the commentary that the narrative made while it developed and because i didn't know where it was heading and why things were happening, it kept me on edge and interested to the very end.

At one point I was sitting there thinking - wow this movie must have been so much fun to make! It was definitely fun to watch.

overall - 3.5/5
